Flat Panel Display Link III, ADAS and SerDes

In recent years, the usage of systems with multiple cameras has increased due to new, powerful, embedded devices. Some areas, like advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), have special hardware requirements to enable video streams with long cables while preventing information loss.. This kind of video transmission requires SerDes (Serializer/Deserializer) communication such as FPD Link III.

FPD Link III, or Flat Panel Display Link III, is an interface that enhances the video stream communication using a single cable without losing information.

FPD Link III: Key Features

  • Adaptive EQ

  • Power-over-coax (PoC)

  • Multiple interface options

  • Frame synchronization

  • Virtual Channel ID

RidgeRun's experience in different areas of technology includes SerDes systems with multiple cameras on a single embedded device.

Note: RidgeRun assumes that there are no hardware issues that would delay the development process (and increase costs). In case of problems with your hardware, RidgeRun will bill up to 20 hours of engineering services for the time needed to inform you of what is wrong. If it has to be created from scratch, driver delivery time is 3 to 4 weeks from receipt of the hardware.
